I have drawn and painted my whole life before getting married and raising two boys and working. It’s a great pleasure to get my paints out and start to work and enjoy a few hours. Sometimes for a few days at a time. I attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. When we moved to Pennington I studied with Jimmy Lueders at Cheltenham Art Center and later at the Princeton Art Association where I attended workshops with Wolf Kahn. When I went to work, I met Met Leipzig and attended his evening classes at Mercer County College where he reminded us not “to vacuum, dust, etc. just paint.”
I began to enter juried exhibits, particularly those sponsored by the Trenton Artists Workshop Association, and was invited to others. I won juror, merit and purchase awards. The Trenton Artists Workshop Association had invitational exhibits at Ellarslie, Trenton City Museum celebrating the 25th and 50th Anniversaries. I had solo exhibits in the art gallery in Pennington, Mercer Hospital and Mercer County College, ETS and my own high school in Haddonfield. And there were group exhibits at Princeton Art Association, Ellarslie, Trenton City Museum, Mercer County Community College, Hunterdon Art Association and Phillips Mill Art Association.
